My father, Mike, and I along with my son, would eat lunch at El Charro Café at Sunrise almost every week. My father enjoyed sitting at the cheery bar with its mountain views, watching sports and chatting with the friendly servers. His favorite was grilled chicken soft tacos. When he passed away at age 94 we held his life celebration luncheon at El Charro Café in the private dining room. The service and food was outstanding, in addition, it was the ideal atmosphere to celebrate his life with family and friends. We still go to El Charro often including Charro Steak and Charro Vida. When we walk by the bar we reminisce imagining Dad sitting there thoroughly enjoying a happy taco afternoon.
